Ongoing events

Feb. 1-28 • "African American Voices of Asheville," an exhibit of text and images, will be on view in UNCA's Ramsey Library Third Floor Gallery. The exhibit features excerpts from interviews with African American men and women who experienced dramatic changes in Asheville during the 20th century, including the Depression, World War II, Integration, social upheaval, as well as everyday life. Ihe interviews are paired with photographs from several UNCA Ramsey Library Special Collections.
The Buncombe County Farmland Preservation Board is accepting applications until Mar. 1, 2003 for its Farmland Conservation Easement Program, a voluntary program with the aim of protecting farmland in Buncombe County from future development, and maintaining open space.
