Prisoners voice appreciation for AGR

Editors, Asheville Global Report,

Thanks very much for extending my subscription. Being unpaid wages in prison & without outside support, I’ve been unable to pay.

[What] I’ve said before is still true today; AGR is my sole source of reliable media, by choice, and your paper’s content only seems to constantly improve.

Thanks very much.

Editors, Asheville Global Report,

First of all, I want to express my most heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the issues of AGR I have received here in lock-up these last few months. I am constantly impressed by the depth and variety of stories that you-all cover and endlessly grateful for the perspective you provide. Here in the belly of the beast, truth is an elusive thing. Not only are we warehoused and systematically stripped of our humanity, we are also subjected to the whims of our captors when it comes to receiving information! It’s good to know a little about what’s really going on, thanks to you!

My second purpose for writing is to say that, praise all that is good and holy, I’m goin’ home! I was hoping my remaining issues could be transferred to another prisoner who, like me, has become quite a faithful reader of the Report! There are actually quite a few ladies here who look forward to the receipt of every issue. There’s always a waiting list for reading it and it changes hands many times before it rests. (...) I’m hoping that my leaving will not interrupt this obviously voracious pursuit of knowledge through the revolutionary journalism of AGR! (…)

Here’s to freedom!
